Those of you in the second group will recognize November 1st as the kickoff date for our annual fundraiser, a time when we come together in this community to pool our little bits and do a lot. Because of you, blessings are still being enjoyed by people near and far. An orphanage we built is still actively serving children and a well our drive funded is still supplying fresh drinking water to people who depend on it for their very lives! I could go on here, but I want to show integrity to your time and get right with it! 

I almost didn’t do a 30 Days of Thankfulness campaign this year because…well, because the economy is so bad and times are so hard for so many. And then, I heard the Lord in my heart saying, “That’s also the very reason to do it, again!” The only thing left for me to say was, “Amen and where should we put our resources this time?” I felt like the answer came quickly.

This year we’re partnering with Samaritan’s Purse to raise money for U.S. Disaster Relief, specifically those who are still trying to recover from Hurricane Ian. I’ll be sharing more pics of the current rebuilding as we go along, but if you want to hit Google yourself, you’ll quickly see that it’s been almost two months since Ian made landfall in southwestern Florida and many, many of our fellow Americans are still struggling to rebuild their homes and find daily resources like fresh drinking water, food, and diapers! 

I know this community of friends and readers to have some of the largest, most giving hearts out there so I’m calling on you again. Let’s pool our little and do a lot. I’ve set a very attainable goal, $3,000.00 in 30 Days. I’d dearly LOVE to simply obliterate that and move the goalposts– to their good and God’s glory. Will you join me?
