Finding a Deep and Wide Christmas Advent – Dec. 11th
There is more hope available to us today. There is more peace, more comfort, more joy, more of everything we need. God is at hand, offering more of Himself than any of us have experienced. Let’s reach for Him.
God’s invitation is so much bigger than mere rescue because life is God’s idea and He wants to experience it with us. You and I were never meant to travel through this world without His Presence, toughing it out all by our lonesome. Our good Father intended to share our waking-up, sitting-down, pleasant, painful, joyful, mournful, exhilarating, and exhausting moments. He longs for us to see they’re all holy moments. (Don’t let the word “holy” throw you.) I want to encourage you to begin enlarging your idea of holiness, of what is sacred and what isn’t. Forget the religious notions that come to mind when you hear the word and consider this instead: Every moment spent with God is holy because God is holy, and wherever we are, He is. ~excerpted from Finding Deep and Wide, releasing January 2020
Cry aloud and shout thy inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel (Isaiah 12:6).
