Hello friend, I offer you these Scripture based prayers to help you pray over yourself or a loved one who is struggling with any form of mental clarity or delusion. Lately I’ve grown fond of calling out to our heavenly Father as “Savior God”. It’s my way of dwelling in the staggering reality of the Creator God who entered His creation to save His people from their sins and restore them to fellowship. In the words of Hebrews 1:3, “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”

I’ve written these prayers for the people I’m praying for, but you can adjust them to make them your own. Choose one or two at a time to take to the Father, or all of them if you would like. I hope they are of help to you… 

Savior God, it is You who puts wisdom in the heart of man and gives understanding to our minds. (Job 36:36.)  Examine ______________’s minds and hearts and show them where their thinking is negative and contrary to Your Word. Call them to repent of those thought patterns and dwell on Truth that aligns with Your purposes so You can bring good fruit from their lives. (Psalm 26:2, Jeremiah 17:10)

Savior God, Help _______________ keep their minds stayed on You. (Isaiah 26:3). Stir them up to love You with all of their heart, soul, and mind. (Matthew 22:37).  Help them love Your Word and open their minds to understand the Scriptures, for Your Word is health to all our flesh, including our minds. (Luke 24: 45, Proverbs 4:22-24)  

Savior God, Help  _____________  to set their minds on the things of the Spirit that brings life and peace. (Romans 8: 5-7)  May they be diligent to resist conforming to the world around them and instead actively renew their minds in your Word so they can know Your will and understand what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12: 2-3).

Savior God, I pray that __________ hearts’ desire would be to know more of Jesus. May their determined purpose be to know the power of His resurrection extended to them through faith, to experience the fellowship of His sufferings, and to be conformed to His death. (Philippians 3: 10) May they understand that believers have been given the mind of Christ, (I Cor. 2:16) but are powerless to walk in this inheritance unless they are intentionally yielding to You. No one walks in Your power without yielding to Your authority. (Romans 8:7).

Savior God, Help ____________ to war against the enemy’s attack on their minds with Your Word and to walk in obedience. Teach them to wield the mighty weapons of supernatural warfare granted to us by Christ’s finished work, weapons that are fully capable of destroying every enemy stronghold and dismantling every opinion of man, including those about their cognitive abilities that don’t align with Your Word. (2 Cor. 10: 3-6)
 
Savior God, Help __________ to find encouragement in Christ and comfort in Your love, to participate with Your Spirit, to enjoy Your affection and mercy, and to walk in this unity with other believers, rejoicing in You always so Your peace which surpasses all understanding can guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 2: 1-3,  4: 6-7)

Savior God, You have put your laws in the mind and on the hearts of Your children. Remind _________ to seek You for wisdom and actively resist all doubts of Your willingness to hear and answer. For You are the Giver of all good things and you give to all who ask without upbraiding Your children for their need or lack of knowledge. (Hebrews 8:10, James 1: 5-8)
