A Little Fun with the National Media
A lighter update from my hometown
Booking it to Barnes and Nobles
Saturday morning I picked up Mama to ride with me to Barnes and Nobles in Shreveport for the next stop on the wild ride that is Sue Ellen's Girl Ain't Fat, She Just Weighs Heavy. She was looking quite sassy. I meant to get a picture of her all my her beautiful self, but it slipped my mind. Drats. Here's one of us with Ms.
Rockin’ with Reeds Bookstore
Hey y'all, better late than never, right? I hope so. I need to catch y'all up on the tail end of the book tour. Red and I left Birmingham and drove to Tupelo, MS, home of the one and only ELVIS. More on Mr. Swivel Hips in just a bit. Our accomodations awaited, with a bit of a surprise. Apparently, we had the Honeymoon suite?! Reed's Bookstore
Are You Ready to Ramble?
Are you ready to ramble? My staying on topic is questionable in the best of circumstances. Longtime readers know that expectng me to stay on topic would be like expecting The Donald to trade his comb-over for a buzz cut. It ain’t happening. While this would be true under the best of circumstances, a nicely organized post is going to be even more of a stretch right now.
Mighty Mississippi at Greenville, MS
I'm rarely at a loss for words but seeing this sight less than an hour from home does it.
Bless Your Heart, Birmin’ham!
This morning, Tuesday morning, brought us to Birmin'ham and St. Vincents for a signing at The Bookseller's. Red and I were both looking forward to it as this had been one of our fav stops from the Suck Your Stomach In tour of '08. We were as tickled this time as we were on the last one, too. Ruth was waiting with her lovely smile and
Whoo Hoo–FOXTALES Does it Again!
Red and I left Savannah and put 'er in high gear for our second event of the day in Woodstock, GA. Should you have ever driven this route, you would know that it's not exactly around the next corner! I have two words to say about the Atlanta traffic. Have mercy. I'm thru now. It would simply take more energy than I have to do
Sweet Savannah– Don’t Forget Me!
Oh, what fun-- I do hope my first trip to this Grand Old Southern Lady of the South won't be my last! My stay started off with good and just got better. You can scroll back a post or two for my Paula Deen moment at The Lady and Her Sons. GOOD EATING doesn't even begin to tell the story. Afterwards, I was blessed to be
One question
We have arrived in Tupelo! SO excited about being back here for signing at the wonderful Reeds Bookstore tomorrow! We do however have one question about our room. Why?
Alabama devastation
More on this later. We are very sober. God bless you Alabama!
