Shellie’s Southern Pecan Pie Cake
Hello folks and welcome back to the All Things Southern kitchen! We’re making my Southern Pecan Pie, Cake. I know. I just thought it’d be a fun name. It’s got butter and pecans and brown sugar, like pecan pie— but it’s a cake. Oh, just stand back. I’ll show you!
“Shellie’s Southern Pecan Pie Cake”
4 large eggs
1 cup softened butter
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups chopped pecans
We’ll begin by preparing a 9×12 cake pan with cooking spray. We’ll beat four eggs until they’re fluffy and then we’ll add one cup of softened butter. Once this is well combined well, we’ll add two cups brown sugar, one cup of all purpose flour and a teaspoon of vanilla. Don’t overwork your batter, y’all. As soon as the ingredients are mixed, we’ll fold in two cups of chopped pecans and pour our batter into our prepared cake pan.
We’ll bake this for thirty to thirty-five minutes at 350 degrees or until the middle springs back. Then we’ll slice it into nice-size servings and serve it warm! Enjoy my Southern Pecan Pie Cake, y’all! It’s good eating from the All Things Southern kitchen to yours!
