Shellie’s Trying Mental Telepathy

Hello folks, I’ve got a story and a cool announcement for y’all. We’ll start with the story. Have a seat, and let’s chat! ~smile~

By the time Phil gets home at night, I usually have a mental list a mile long of things I need to tell him. I’ve been known to text him interesting things on the spot if I just can’t wait. Experience, however, has taught me he isn’t always interested in my little epiphanies if he’s balanced on a board over a drainage ditch adjusting a water gate or flat of his back beneath a broken down tractor. Go figure. The other evening I was in the middle of catching him up when I said, “Hmmm…I meant to tell you something else. Wonder what that was?” “Baby,” my man said, “you’ve got so many things to say. How am I supposed to know what you’re going to say next?” Good point.

I can’t help it, y’all. Stories pile up around me faster than I can tell ‘em and then I risk losing ‘em, which I find tragic. For instance, without that line from Phil I might’ve totally forgotten to tell y’all this next incredible story. A while back a woman in California plunged down a 350-foot mountain inside her pick-up and survived. She alerted her husband for help and he traced her path and rescued her! You’re wondering why I find that so incredible, aren’t you? Allow me— she alerted him via mental telepathy! I should rest my case, but I have too many questions. How’d she do that? Sometimes it’s hard to alert my man when we’re in the same room.

The news report said her husband got a feeling as his wife was mentally telegraphing him and he knew she was in trouble. Right. She’s fortunate he didn’t mistake that for a hunger pain or this story wouldn’t have such a happy ending. Frankly, I don’t know if I believe it anyway, so I’ve decided to conduct my own mental telepathy study to determine its plausibility. I’ll be using Phil and myself as the controls and you can expect a full report. But, do be patient, as it might take a while. I think our wiring’s loose.

Hugs,
Shellie
