Corn Bread Fritters
Welcome back to the All Things Southern kitchen, y’all. We’re featuring Corn Bread Fritters today, delicious little bites of fried corn!
- 1 small can cream-style corn
- 1 cup self-rising cornmeal
- ½ cup finely chopped onion
- 1 egg
- ½ cup all purpose flour
We’ll begin by mixing one cup of self-rising cornmeal with ½ cup all purpose flour. Then we’ll add 1 egg, ½ cup finely chopped onion, and a small can cream-style corn. We’ll stir this well and drop it by spoonfuls into hot oil. Enjoy my Corn Bread Fritters, folks. And remember, y’all, that’s a fritter you’re eating— spelled with an “r”.
