It was ALL That Hattiesburg!

Wow! Although I’ve been “to and through” Hattiesburg before, today’s trip led me to believe that those earlier visits, those that kept me on the main drag, didn’t come come close to giving me the true Hattiesburg experience!

Main Street Books is a treasure tucked into the historic district and, goodness, what a welcome they extended. Diane,  and her staff, (her lovely mom and neice, Amy) had a full-out sit down luncheon prepared for the guests, complete with recipes from Sue Ellen’s Girl Ain’t Fat, She Just Weighs Heavy! AND, they had gift bags for everyone attending. How nice is that? Thank you, Diane and Main Street Books! I had a great time at your place and I look forward to coming back one day.

Diane knows how to throw a book event…

Mercy, did we laugh! These ladies now feel like old friends, now.

I absolutely HAD to take a picture of this crazy woman, my good friend Lucy! We me when she began reading All Things Southern years ago, and we are truly kindred spirits. The girl has practically as many stories as I do– I swannee! I stacked up a few to bring back to y’all later.

Take care, everyone! Next stop, Page & Palette in Fairhope, Alabama at 6:00 tomorrow evening. Hope to see y’all on the road.

Hugs,
Shellie
