Ode to My Older Siblings
Hey y’all, I got so hot washing down the porches earlier that I decided to drink straight from the water hose. Haven’t done that in years. I guzzled actually, and boy did it bring back the memories of growing up on Bull Run Road…
I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank my older sisters for all the times y’all crimped the hose so I could get a drink– only to release it at the right moment so I would a) drown when the trickle became a fire hose and b) drench my clothes so y’all could have a laugh at my expense. Me and Charlie Brown, we’re slow learners that way.
And now, back to the Fourth of July prep! Later, y’all.
Hugs,
Shellie
P.S. Feel free to expose the meaness of your own siblings in the comment box below. It’ll just be between me and you…

Shame on him, Amy. :)))

I would never tell on my big brother publicly but since you’ll keep it secret, I’m happy to share! He once pretended to be licking Tabasco hot sauce off his finger, while saying how good it was. His side of the story is that I begged him to let me try it, so he did! I got a big mouthful of it and it burned for hours!!! Love my big brother, Chris!
