I had a lot of plans for the day and none of them I had a lot of plans for the day and none of them started with a flat tire on a country road, but there I was. Thankfully, one call brought the Beloved Farmer to my rescue. Less than thirty minutes later, I was back on the road for my first appointment— but not before a thank you kiss and a promise to see him this evening, because rescue is only one part of our relationship. Our bond goes much deeper. It’s been built over shared life experience, from time and devotion, through the good and the hard seasons, in the ordinary days and in the special ones. And that has me thinking about our faith journey.

I’m afraid far too many believers know Jesus as their Rescuer but never learn to walk with Him as their closest Companion. They know what it means to call on Him in trouble, but they’re missing the joy of doing everyday life together.

Jesus didn’t rescue us so we could wave goodbye and go on down the road until the next emergency. If the only time we turn to Jesus is when life leaves us stranded, we’re missing the very relationship He rescued us to enjoy. Think about it. ♥️ Hugs, Shellie
It’s Southern Belle Day so I’ve got to get this in It’s Southern Belle Day so I’ve got to get this in. ⁣So many of you have written in the past couple years to let me know Southern Living picked up this quote of mine and plopped it in the middle of some amazing company. I hear from y’all whenever the larger list of southern belle quotes makes the round.
⁣
And every time y’all tag me in the article, I think of this lady who inspired the quote. My mom, The Queen of Us All, is The Southern Belle in our family’s book. Who wears that title in your world? #nationalsouthernbelleday #oct15 #welovethequeen #grateful
And so I find that in every single thing I bring t And so I find that in every single thing I bring to Him, He is faithful to give MORErest to my soul. But in every single thing I hold back and try to figure out, fix, or fight on my own, I am restLESS.

These words of His are there for all of us, simple but with life changing potential. And yet, we can still be found sitting in our unrest like a toddler refusing to be consoled. 😊 Anybody?

How relentless this love of God! He leaves the welcome mat out day and night, despite our sporadic endeavors to come to Him and find the rest we need. Praise Him with me and find rest in coming to Him with whatever is troubling your soul. 🙌🏻
“He has made everything beautiful in its time:” Ec “He has made everything beautiful in its time:” Ecclesiastes 3:11 Hey y’all, there are some tough things in this season for me— just as there are for you. Don’t let the hard moments steal the good ones! It’s been said that hurting people hurt people and there’s truth in that, but it’s not a rule! We don’t have to live by it! When Christ is in us, we can drink deeply from the well that never runs dry and have the resources we need to live life to the fullest. I like to say it this way, “Blessed people bless people!” Hugs! #fromatowncalledbyhisname #donttrytopraylikeherbook #lifeisbetterwhenyourelaughing #weloveourgrands #livingtreasures
