Whoo Hoo–FOXTALES Does it Again!

Red and I left Savannah and put ‘er in high gear for our second event of the day in Woodstock, GA. Should you have ever driven this route, you would know that it’s not exactly around the next corner! I have two words to say about the Atlanta traffic. Have mercy. I’m thru now. It would simply take more energy than I have to do anything else with that.

I will mention that at some point while we were traveling with two million of our closest friends, I called in to my radio show back home, ATS LIVE to visit with my charming friend and stand in host, Stacy Thorton. Local folks will remember Stacy from her days as the host of “What’s Cooking?” We miss her, don’t we? BTW, I’m not sure Stacy could have gotten much out of that conversation. My bad. But I do sincerely appreciate her holding down the fort. THANKS, Stacy!

And then, finally, FOXTALES! Never one to disappoint, Foxtale turned out the readers again for a wonderful night of book love.

This wonderful woman brought me a family cookbook because she said she so enjoyed my first book, Suck Your Stomach In and Put Some Color On. I was touched. THANKS, Paula!

It was good to see Ana Raquel again, who is writing a book on the authors she meets. THAT should be interesting. (Hmmm….I wonder what I said that may be held against me?!) 🙂

I was happy to get to say hello to Andrew, the Chicken Man and my author friend, Renea Winchester (in the green) and her daughter.  Renea wrote “In the Garden with Billy”. The other lovely face is Val, a freader who came out last time and returned for this trip. Thanks Val. That means a lot!

Bonding with a native Luzanna girl who misses home!

Sweet Ellen, the happy  bookseller. THANKS again for having me, Ellen.

Next up– Birmin’ham!

Hugs,
Shellie
