If you’ve followed me very long, you’ve heard me t If you’ve followed me very long, you’ve heard me talk about my tendency to “chase squirrels” when I’m praying. I can start out talking to Jesus and, before you know it, I’m thinking about something I need at the grocery store, somebody I forgot to text, what I’m cooking for supper, and whether I ever moved those clothes to the dryer.

Squirrel. Squirrel. Squirrel.

And yet, God is not frustrated with me.

He knows my wandering mind. He knows my heart. And when I realize I’ve wandered off, I simply come back and pick up the conversation.

Prayer doesn’t have to be perfect to be heard.

Don’t try to pray pretty. Just pray. God is listening. (Link in profile)
The weekend began with an opportunity to speak at The weekend began with an opportunity to speak at the Louisiana State Cotton Museum in my hometown on a subject dear to my heart, the importance of small town libraries in general, and the East Carroll Parish Library in particular. I enjoyed reliving what our library has meant in my own life over the years. I intend to put my remarks on my website as a tribute to our library, if you’re interested. Later. Not tonight. 😊 I’m home, spirit full but road weary because my bestie and I traveled on to Arkansas for me to speak at the Unashamed Conference at the Hot Springs Convention Center. Many thanks to my friends BJ Garrett and Denise Bowens for inviting me. It was a gospel glorifying gathering and I do love sharing God’s Word! 🩵 And thanks for hanging with me, G, @rhonda1013! I love you!
